Disco King: “All that is Sacred Becomes Profane ”

Even though I greatly appreciate some of Karl Marx’s brilliant insights into the inevitable cultural and spiritual degradations of capitalism, I am, alas, not a Marxist. Nonetheless, to me, none of his insights is more illuminating, more horrifying and truer than when the man foresaw that under capitalism, “all that is sacred becomes profane.”

Above you will find the most vulgar and repugnant example of this terrible truth than I’ve seen in a while.
I am confident that as things go on, the future will bring something even more vulgar and more repugnant for the simple reason that there is nothing in our present world powerful enough to stop it.
