Thousands of New Yorkers of all ages, races and faiths marched in silence from 110th Street and Lennox Ave in Harlem down 5th Ave to 79th Street to demand an end to the “Stop and Frisk” policy of the NYPD and Mayor Mike Bloomberg. The silent march was modeled on a 1917 march held to protest lynching.
The march began at 3:00 and ended sometime around 5:00.
